i have 3 asus VN247H monitors connect to a AMD R9 270 using HDMI, DVI and VGA.

i have the VGA and HDMI working on two of my monitors and when i try to extend the 3rd monitor it says unable to save display settings.

i can have any two monitors working at a time but i cant extend the 3rd monitor with out it saying this error.

 

please help :)

You can only use 2 of the 3 hdmi/dvi connectors simultaneously. You'd need to use displayport for more displays.

You can only use 2 of the 3 hdmi/dvi connectors simultaneously. You'd need to use displayport for more displays. 

Basically this, you would need to get a displayport adapter. You have to make sure it's an active adapter though

 

What signal do you want it to convert? (HDMI, DVI) I'll send you a link :)

You could get a display port adapter, or you could use a USB to HDMI adapter.

How would that do anything one of the displays must run on DP.

You said use an USB to HDMI, that wouldn't help would it you need to use a DP on one of the displays, so why not buy a DP to HDMI.

It would work because USB to HDMI adapters work independently, but using a display port adapter would be a better option.

Oh, didn't realize about the whole eyefinity thing. Yeah the display port adapter is the best option
