cpu bottleneck

I have an AMD Phenom II X2 550 and I want to upgrade my current GPU Nvidia quadro fx to a radeon hd 6970. Will there be any potential bottlenecks? I dont have any money to upgrade my cpu. And is it compatible?

yes you will encounter CPU limitation in many (most) games with this dual core CPU and some recently released games will just plain not want to launch with a dual core CPU...a phenom X4 quad-core would be my recommendation you should be able to find a used one for like 40$.

My brother came home with 2 quadros from work. So I took one and put it in my system
