so this board looks pretty nice, has some gaming featues like premium onboard audio n stuff.

its the Asrock 970 fatal1ty performance

it is kinda in the budget, since the 990fx of the same fatal1ty board is 140$ rather than 100$, now i did my research, and the asrock 990fx  extreme 3 (the cheapest one) is also 100$, but it doesnt have a nice black PCB and it has some tiny little hetsinks on the VRM, speaking of VRM, although this one being a 970 chipset board has 8+2 power delivery and "ASrock Duracap", whatever that is.

on the page i didnt find if it supports SLI, it says it supports 3 way Crossfire, but i guess it has SLI as it has 3 pcie x16 slots, running at 16x the first, and 8x the other 2.

so how does it look?

and besides this entire thread... will it be better to get a core i3?

Haven't heard of it, but it seems promising and looks really freaking cool.

edit: "will it be better to get a core i3" It would be better to get a locked i5 for gaming (that is if you plan on getting an 8320/8350)

Something along these lines

Motherboard: Asus H81M-D PLUS Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($44.49 @ Newegg)
Total: $214.48
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Older tech so people kinda bully it a bit, If you have an 8350 and you aren't aiming for a 5ghz overclock you're kinda wasting its potential a bit, I would recommend a gigabyte ud5 or asus sabretooth 990fx for the 8350 as they provide pretty good results. If looking for more info on the subject head here http://www.overclock.net/t/1318995/official-fx-8320-fx-8350-vishera-owners-club there is a good wealth of information there. Hope this helps your choice in board that is best for you.  :)

If your prioerity is gaming, you are much, much, I cannot stress this enough.. MUCH better off going with a locked i5 over anything FX.

Just order this and call it a day...it's worlds better than an overclocked FX for gaming and it will cost you less if you factor in all you need to overclock an FX CPU...

and also this is much more energy efficient and won't heat up the entire room:
