R9 290 upgrade bottleneck?

Nothing can absolutely bottleneck a computer component, you will always get a performance improvement. The r9 290 is so good value now that it does matter if it gets a bit bottlenecked.

Hi Guys,

 

I have been looking into upgrading my computer with a new gpu for some time, im currently using an AMD A10 6800k.@ 4.8GHZ and 1.1GHZ(gpu)

I was thinking about getting an R9 270x which would fit with my CPU.

then AMD slashed there prices and the R9 290 came into my budget.

So my question is if i ran an R9 290 would i get at least the performance of the R9 270x  (i know its a bottleneck)

i will be looking into upgrading my CPU in the future which is why i think the 290 is a better choice?

save me buying another gpu upgrade when i get a new cpu?

 

I would get a performance boost in BF4 with mantle because of the bottleneck.. right??

 

Thoughts??
