Steam overlay

I play Star Craft 2 a lot. I like to play music with it through i tunes. I usually tab out and change songs with my second screen, but it broke so i'm down to one. can i use steam overlay in Star Craft 2?

Definition of programmer: someone who can consume copious amounts of caffeine; and crap out a master piece through their fingers

that should probably work. EDIT: I tried with hearthstone, and it didn't work, maybe it's just a blizzard game thing that the overlay doesn't work...
