Ok, so yesterday i accidentally broke a capacitor off of my motherboard. It's an LGA 1155 motherboard and as there was no other motherboard available i just decided to upgrade (I got myself a G1.SNIPER.Z97 motherboard from Gigabyte and an Intel I7-4790) Let's just call it an early christmas present to myself hehe. Anyways is there any chance of me saving the motherboard?

RMA it

RMA it, or get the cap and simply soder it back on.

It is no longer in warranty and i could probably not RMA it as I broke it off.

And the problem is the cap flew off but the pins are still in the motherboard, so the capacitor must be permenantly broken right?

It's out of warranty so i can't make up a story i can't rma it.

Register it with the company by forging a invoice and BS a RMA.

Forged the GTX 660 invoice and EVGA accepted it. I can now BS the RMA if I ever need to.
