I propose 1 day out of each month we change our signatures to the specs of a $5000 pc, parts of our choosing.

this would be a cool way to see what everyone thinks is the best, what they want, not what they already have.

Rules:

1. $5000 budget

2. Put a link to this thread in the sig, to show you are part of this event.

Go and have fun now!

High spec machines are boring. It's always a top-end Nvidia GPU and a top-end Intel CPU with some cool custom loops and LEDs. I find budget builds are more interesting, then you get to see how much power you can pack into a small budget.

What you think the best 350-400$ budget gaming build would be? (only tower. no monitor or other peripherials)

This should do decently at games:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/17ySX

Came in at $375 (USD)

You may want a better ventilated case and an aftermarket cooler, I assume the A10-6800k throws off a lot of heat.

Can it max out bf3 on 1600x900? Check my option http://pcpartpicker.com/p/17rPl

I don't how how the A10 performs alone, because every benchmark shows it with a GPU. However, I was able to find out that the 7770 is much more powerful than the iGPU in the 6800k, so your list is much better for gaming.

I guess APU graphics are great for only web-surfing and browser-based games. But maybe low settings for real games
