Nvidia GTX 970 drivers issues

Go to solution Solved by Babypowder,

Sadly I had to go ahead and re-install windows.
For some reason I couldn't even save it from a restore point. Tried everything, and honestly, I don't have anything important.

Hey there.

So, today I guess nvidia released some new drivers and a new Geforce Experience update.
I tried to download the drivers and it failed. I tried to download the new Geforce experience, and it failed.

Restart my computer. Both gone. No drivers.
Download the drivers from nvidia, I get this error (same error I was getting with geforce experience and the new drivers):

can anyone help me?
I have no drivers, and I can't seem to even install the old ones .-.

Phew... Good thing I didn't pull anything and install anything. Always do some research and ask around to see if this update is stable. I've learned from LTT that some drivers can cause you headaches.

Is there any indication that you have installed drivers previously in the Programs and Features section in Windows?  If not, I would venture to say that your install got corrupted.

I would attempt to do a clean install of the drivers through Safe Mode.  If that doesn't work, do you have a backup that you can restore to?

My PC specifications are in my profile.

What?! I doubt I have a restore point... Maybe I do.. But I mean, that would be like last resort.

Maybe I should just delete any files inside C:// drive and try reinstalling..

Sigh... this sucks.

Another good idea would be to try installing from the CD that came with the GPU if you have a CD drive. Usually CDs that come with the GPU are an older version of drivers. Never tried tho... The struggles of no CD drive....
