I use RealTemp, and have it in the startup items.

Allows me to always have a temp reading of GPU and CPU in my taskbar.

HWMonitor is good, but I prefer MSI's Afterburner Utility, I like how it graphs the temperatures, fan speeds, usage, and a variety of other good things.

how are my temps ? its air cooled now about to switch to water

You don't need liquid cooling, the temps are good.

My recommendation would to get a air cooler instead.

HWinfo64 is what I use with my FX8350, temps are not accurate unless under load and even then they are an algorithm so basically a rough estimate.

Please run a stress test if you want advice on changing cooling solutions. Idle temperatures mean nothing in most cases.

 

Some of the stress tests you can run:

OCCT

AIDA64

Prime95

Don't run prime95 with the haswell intel cpus, members on here have told me that prime likes to overvolt it or something.

If you can run a task on your CPU that burns it then there is flaw with the CPUs design, your CPU should be able to handle any workload. Also Prime95 has been updated for the haswell's (AVX2) instruction set.

What can happen is when a CPU is very new, the stress test programs have not been updated yet to the new instruction set. I suggest not trusting people's word on the forum, take what they say and do some research. There are a lot of rumours spread that become outdated but are still spread later because people take them to be fact.

Personally I prefer to use temps from either my motherboard manufacture or monitor them with MSI afterburner.
