Cooler Master V8 Motherboard Compatibility

BRiteBak

Im building a new system and really have my heart set on the cooler master v8,

The problem is i don't know know if it will fit on the motherboard i buy,

I plan on using 4 sticks of corsair vengeance ram,

I am using the 3770K and may do minor overclocking in the future

Here are the motherboards i am choosing between:

Asus Z77 Sabertooth:

http://ncix.com/products/?sku=69881&vpn=Sabertooth%20Z77&manufacture=ASUS&promoid=1270

Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H:

http://ncix.com/products/?sku=70262&vpn=GA-Z77X-UD5H&manufacture=Gigabyte&promoid=1270

Asus P8Z77-V Pro:

http://ncix.com/products/?sku=69883&vpn=P8Z77-V%20Pro&manufacture=ASUS&promoid=1270

The Number 1 Choice for me is the Sabertooth

Height of the cooler is not an issue.

Thanks in advance for the help

With Vengeance memory on that MoBo with a V8 cooler, the short answer is no, wont fit. Now I assume your'e going for 32Gb of RAM because of the 3770k and your'e a video editor? Tell us what your'e using the system for and we can help you get something amazing.

to be honest, get a proper cooling solution. the V8 was good in its time. but technology in HS/HSF

has avanced way past what the V8 can do in this time. even the CM 212 is pretty much the destroyer

to the V8 and simpler to use. ive got one and its a beast to look at, but crap in performance. and with

IB, you need as much help in cooling control as can be had.

Thanks for the help, The system is going to have 2 8gb sticks to begin and then in the future may upgrade to 32 but would just like to keep the door open.

The System is being used as a home work computer (connecting to vpn) with the purpose of being as future proof as possible.

If the V8 is not a realistic option then what would recommend?

Preferably something that looks nice because the case has a large window

the Noctua NH-D14, Phanteks 14TP, H100 or H100i would be great

window dressing with purpose..

Thanks again,

I know how well the noctua performs but it isn't exactly the prettiest cooler,

I love the Phanteks cooler but they have no distributors in Aus (where i am) and to expensive to be shipped,

Thinking to go with the cooler master X6 What's your opinion on this cooler?
