I really can't tell if eb01 has amp...

I guess I'll see...

Well, just for fun, but I'd say it's a DAC only, not a combo.

Aww,well, still a good deal. I guess I'll need an amp. Ill try it without.

An advice though, when it arrives, read the manual thoroughly to find out if it's a dac only or a combo. And if you still wanna try it without an amp, be sure not to use IEM, and if possible, use a cheap headphone first.

 

Start with lowest windows volume, and slowly raising it up. The spec at newegg says 3.1V p-p, roughly 1.5V in 1 axis. If it goes full blast, 1.5V will most likely pop an IEM instantly.

Hmm OK. I think I'll send a note to Silverstone. And start at lowest. And I guess I'll use my crossfade lp, not my k7xx

The EB03 says headphone amplifier at the back, and if you look at the banner at http://silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=443&area=en there's a banner that shows the EB01-E stacked with the EB03, like the magni modi combo. EB01-E should be the same thing as the EB01, just newer version.

Can't tell. I even downloaded the manual PDF of the EB01-E (the newer version), and it says to plug the RCA out to 'the device of your choice', but it does mention using the headphone adapter to use with headphone. Just wait and see, I guess.

I'll contact Silverstone once I put in my motherboard, their mobile site is like infected with a virus or something

I contacted Silverstone and they said it wasn't...I guess I'll just see. Did you see the eb01 page or eb01-e?

Received it. The volume is about equal to computer or more, so idd say there is an amp.

Man is it pretty. Very very pretty brushed aluminum
