Depends on what your current needs are and your current phone.

Also the note 4 has micro usb 2.0, which sucks ass compared to the 3.0 connector

I would go with the Note 4 simply because you don't have to wait to get it, and plus, do you really know what the Note 5 will really feature? I mean the Note 4 just came out a couple months ago.

I mean my Xperia Z2 suits my needs just fine right now but im a sucker for a new phone

The Nopte 5 has rumored 4K screen and 4GB Ram. which as tech nerd would make me week at the knees!

Try a Nexus 6 then. You have naked, vanilla Android, no Touchwiz crapware. Plus, have you seen Android 5.0? It looks like butter.

Hmmm does sound tempting tbh,

I am liking the S pen functions and the note 5 is meant to come with Snapdragon 810 64bit processor. and a 3750mAh battery....

Not coming to the UK :( already had that as an option but won't get it here

Aw, that sucks. :/ Try an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus? Those phones are actually good. I might just get one.

I have a note 3 and i love it (rooted, custom rom and skin, etc.). The next note (note 5) will be released next september-october so IMO it is not worth the "weight" ;) . The S6 will probably be released next february so you might wait for that.

Really? I've heard they are actually very good, since now they can actually compete in the market with their bigger phones and bigger batteries as well, even after "Bendgate". I would have a look at them.

I like the big factor of the Note series and the S pen features tbh. I don't want to jump in and get a Note 4 or something else then the note 5 is released and I end up kicking myself

I got my note 3 about this time last year, and let me tell you that i do envy the features of the note 4 BUT i had a good phone for 9 months rather than waiting. It is a terrible cycle (waiting); just get what you want NOW unless you know that something better will be released in the coming month. Ask yourself this: Is it worth it, to wait 9-10 months for the next note phone?

Have you tried those plans where you pay your phone monthly and then after 12 months you can get a new phone? That maybe be worthwhile, so you can get a Note 4, then after 12 months you can get a Note 5 if you want it.

I hate the cycle of waiting! If there is no solid confirmation of the Note 5 specs by the end of Jan 2015 then i'll just upgrade to the note 4 I think.

Yeah they're pretty expensive... especially if you want the latest phones like the Notes. You have to pay the remainder of your contract off etc and I spend my spare money on tech and motorbike parts lol

Actually the new Samsung phone are most likely not going to have Qualcomm processors anymore. (As seen in the current Note)

And TouchWiz is not something to like or go for.

If you want top of the line performance, I would suggest waiting for the Xperia Z4. Which has the 810 and 4GB RAM.

I would suggest only settling on the Note as your last resort.

If you don't want anything but the note, just get the 4. No reason to wait 5.
