Alienware X51 mods

Hey guys, i'm new here, and wondering if there are any others out there that have done mods for the X51. I plan on doing a PSU mod next year after warranty expires. Any suggestions like Water Cooling would be nice!

My bad i thought you were talking about the big triangle thing. The only mod i see is taking the top off and water cooling it... ( it will be super ugly)

Also your case is really small, there's not much you can really do in there.  I would say do a case swap and move the guts to another case and go from there.

That's what i figured. I was probably going to cut into the case later on for it.

It's WAY too small for water cooling and I don't think you can switch out the power supply. Get a evga reference 970 and shove it in there. I'm going to do that once I have the money

My dad (Who is an expert on computers) said it is a simple mod to replace the power supply. I don't know how yet but assuming by looking, it's quite easy.

I can ask him tonight about it, but it sounds like you can with the case still. I think for better graphics cards you would have to (or more fans).

That sounds really good. It looks like others have done it because it runs at like 145 watts i think. As long as it never gets over-clocked it should work fine.
