So since my mobo is an MSI Z97 G45 it came with a Killer E2200 on it. As a replacement I was thinking on getting this http://nz.pcpartpicker.com/part/intel-wired-network-card-expi9301ct Is this any good or is there something better for around the same cost, since i've already spent a lot on building my new PC I really don't want to have to buy something expensive. I just need something that can work well and won't slow my internet down like the Killer E2200 did.

That's actually a really good Ethernet adapter, very well regarded.

Before buying though, check your drivers and software to get the Killer ethernet working properly, while Killer NICs are not that great with small packages and put extra load on the CPU, they are still perfectly fine for gaming and everyday use. Something as simple as a driver update can solve a lot of things.

So I guess the Qualcomm drivers didn't work lol. The Intel NIC that you linked to will work great, I have many dual port versions of that card and they are excellent.

I had nothing but good things to say about the killer chip on my mobo check your settings

Wish I could say the same, lol.

It's not that I don't like it or anything, it just really likes to annoy me by not loading things even though the connection is perfectly fine. Also everything is updated so it just doesn't like me.

Yup. It started to reverted back to the same as the killer driver after a while

Can someone tell me the difference between Intel EXPI9301CT and Intel PWLA8391GT

One is PCI and the other is PCIe (express), go with the PCIe one, PCI is basically a dead standard that keeps existing to support legacy (older) components. PCIe will allow for a larger bus (bandwidth) but you are not going to be hitting the PCI limits, so doesn't really matter in that area.

Go PCIe for future compatibility.

It is, specially considering those NICs are really good and powerful, with awesome software. In 5 years in a new build, that card will still be a great option for connectivity, and you might not have a PCI slot available then.

Do you know if windows 8.1 supports the Intel EXPI9301CT.
