I just put in a 2500k into my system, from an i5 3350P. I thought it would be simply swap... but of course, it was not. Now, when I boot with my DVI cable plugged into my 280x, I get no display signal. However, the integrated graphics does work(which is how I am typing this message. Please help!

My full specs are:

Intel Core i5 2500k

Asus H61M-LE USB3 Motherboard

PowerColor R9 280x

8GB Crucial Ballistix RAM

600w OCZ ModXtreme PSU

Are the fans spinning on the card?

It may simply not be getting enough power - are the PCI power cables plugged in?

Yep, I've checked everything relating to power on the card. It's all plugged in and working as it should... only it's not being detected...

Are you capable of trying another slot for the card?

I once killed a PCI slot but not the card.

Sig under construction.

I once killed a PCI slot but not the card.

It's a microATX board with only one slot for my video card. This is the motherboard's first time having a CPU in it that has integrated graphics. Could that have something to do with it?

When you say its not detected do you mean its not showing in device manager at all?

First off remove and reseat the card.

Next try it in another slot.

Finally try swapping back to the old CPU.

Let us know how it goes.

Potentially.

You might want to try playing around with the BIOS and seeing if you can find anything that lets you disable integrated graphics or set the default graphics controller.

Nothing. Still the same. Even tried the old CPU with no success. Which tells me it's a motherboard thing. I don't understand how it could be as the motherboard was working completely fine 3 hours ago. Help???

Remove the CPU from the board and inspect the socket for bent pins. It might help to totally remove the board from the case.

Sounds weird but the PCI lanes are routed via the CPU so a bent pin can stop PCI slots from working.

I checked all this out already. I had some bent pins on this motherboard before, but I fixed them and everything seems to be working fine. I made sure when replacing the CPU to not bend anything. I am truthfully dumbfounded at all this, it makes no sense to me.
