trying to make a minecraft server to play with my friends but many guides on youtube did not work, hoping someone here knows how and help me step by step (without hamachi)

Oh. I've not played MC for 2 years or so now. That's a shame.

 

Any alternatives pop up? Or is it just official MC server client?

Its very very simple.

1- Port forward your router as

Internet

--------

Any external ip

25565 Port

TCP

Local

-----

Your computers local IP address

Port 25565

TCP

2- Then just run the Minecraft server.exe file.

3- Tell your friends to connect to

"Your External IP adress"

4------ Advanced and not nessasary------

Set up a static ip for your server computer via DCPH reservation or on the device itself.

Use QOS functionality of your router to make 25565 TCP a high priority port.

Have a ethernet cable to the server for a far more stable experience

Decicate more RAM to the server

Run the server on a dedicated machine.

Run it on a SSD or Good USB 3.0 pendrive.

I think it's only official, not completely sure though. Somehow servers still have plugins so I have no idea.
