I use spotify, it's free but with ads. I have Spotify premium and I have to say it's worth it.

i was looking for something that just tells my computer what to play or something that sends the songs over the wifi to the computer

Controller or streaming? In other words, where are the files? If it's on PC, then what you're looking for is a controller. If it's on the phone then what you're looking is a streamer.

 

For streamer, for IOS there's AirDisplay that works through WiFi. Streams video, games, and audio, but bad audio.

 

For good audio, use bluetooth dongle or built-in PC bluetooth adapter instead, and use it as A2DP device.

what are you on about being dicks to each other

I've used airplayit a bunch of times its a master slave type of system where one device is the master sending audio and the slave device receives and basically becomes a remote speaker

 

good for music and podcasts but bad for something with a video component as there is a delay
