So I'm currently Overclocking my GPU (Pretty sure I won the lottery)... I'm wondering if there is any use of overclocking the Memory clock, to get a bit higher clock speed (Almost rounding up to 1600)

MSI GTX 980 Gaming

Just remember: Random people on the internet ALWAYS know more than professionals, when someone's lying, AND can predict the future.

Not really. memory overclocking does in theory boost FPS, but not by much at all. your biggest gains will be made by GPU clock speed boosts

Well, the GTX 980 is a bit memory bandwidth constrained. It wouldn't hurt to up it a little bit and test the performance.

But clock speed still matters more. See this article:

Aesthetics of rigs matter

Go after a good stable core clock, then OC the memory; memory OC is not that performance-increasing, but does indeed boost it.

Some people found that they cards would hit like 1550 core clock, 7.5GHZ memory clock; but that if they  decreased the core to something like 1530mhz, then they could go up to 8 GHz on the memory, having better final FPS.

So, go play around with the settings and the results, I'm sure you will have fun.
