External DVD player not playing

I was having issues making the previous post you can look at it now :P

Like I mentioned install vlc media player

So my sister has an external DVD player (plugs in VIA USB) and it doesn't play.  I can open it and look at the movie files (but since it has a menu I can't watch that) but it won't play the movie.  When I right click it it only gives to option "Open" and there is no "Play"

Is there supposed to be a video? because thats what is on the CD, They can be used as storage devices.

It is a DVD.  I can play it on my PC on my XBox and on the TV DVD player.  This computers one is external and new.

There are multiple videos but it has a video menu that works n everything except this.

In the video ts there's usually a video file or multiple you can try opening the dvd with vlc media player.
