Recently I have contacted amd and said they it was an issue with Microsoft. Here is their resonse.

Dear User,

You had recently provided feedback on an issue you were experiencing installing the Catalyst Omega Driver. I wish to thank you for the feedback you provided and we have been actively investigating the same.

It would appear that the issue was actually caused by a Microsoft Windows update that incorrectly marked the AMD drivers as ‘unsigned’ and thereby prevented the drivers from being properly installed. The Windows Update in question was KB3004394 which was pushed the same day that the AMD Catalyst Omega driver was released.

We have worked closely with Microsoft who have temporarily removed this update while they investigate the issue. You can find more information on this Windows Update at the following link:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/3004394

In order to resolve this issue, you will need to uninstall this Windows Update by following the directions at the link above.

Once you have uninstalled the update, you will need to do the following :

· Reboot your system

· Uninstall the remnants of the Catalyst Omega installation using the Add/Remove Program option in the Control Center

· Reboot your system

· Install the Catalyst Omega driver package appropriate for your Operating System

· Reboot your system

We are confident that you will enjoy the new features, increased stability and performance improvements that the Catalyst Omega Driver provides.

Once again, I thank you for your feedback.

Regards,

Ray Menzies
