So I'm going to be building a new computer this holiday season (little after Christmas or so) and I want to be able to play games @ 1080p on high/ultra settings and I intend on doing alot of livestreaming, video editing and recording with this rig. My original intent was to not pass $550 BEFORE rebates.

The R9 270 is fine for 1080P Med-Ultra settings. Albeit not for long.

To add on to this, with your budget it'll be hard to do what you want it to do effectively. But it's a start! I think you should save up just a tad more to grab a better GPU to pair with your FX.

Im sure by Christmas time there will be some nice deals somewhere on a better GPU so we'll see what happens :P

Not really. It barely scratches 40 fps on most games.

Odd. At least I'm happy with it, it runs BF4 @ 1080P (Ultra Preset) 435-60 FPS for me.

Hey Number 29,

you should expand the budget a bit if you want to do all those things you listed. As the guys said, that GPU might not be enough. Also the PSU should be a bit powerful if you are doing a full AMD build and intend to overclock.
I would also add that a SSD would boost your overall system's performance, make it much more responsive and decrease all loading times.
WD Blue drives are great for everyday computing and even for gaming (since games rely on storage only for loading times), but it might not be fast enough for live streaming or game recording.

Captain_WD.

If this helped you, like and choose it as best answer - you might help someone else with the same issue. ^_^
