Hi, im having a problem with my graphics card and i dont know whats going on, maybe someone can help me, i will explain the problem, but english is my second language, i hope i can explain everything right, this is the problem:

Yesterday i was rendering a video with a 3d modeling program, it was a big model with big escenes for a long video, so the program was running at around 20 FPS, but was ok. after a got everything ready to render, i reboot my pc to then only render the video, but when i enter again in the program i find it slower, it was running at 1 FPS and everything was really slow, and the render times went from 1 sec to render each frame to 4 secs to render each frame.. and since then anything that uses graphics is running slower, games that i could play at better fps now work slower, dirt 3 went from 100fps to 40fps, and things like that, and the modeling program have a Benchmark to test the pc and the score dropped from 6500 points to 5500 points too..

I already tried to install the new drivers, and to make a clean installation of the drivers too, and the problem is still there, can something be broken or something with my graphics card? bc everything works fine, but slower.. i dont get blue screens or things like that.. the card is running at 60º at iddle with the fan at 40% and 75º full with the fan at 60%

this are the spects of my pc:

Graphic card: AMD Radeon 6870 Sapphire
Motherboard: Gigabyte AM3 GA-880GM-USB3 DDR3 USB 3.0
Micro: AMD Phenom II 64 X6 1100T AM3

Open task manager and see if there is something eating up resource at the same time. You issue is an odd one and I would guess at something not playing nice when you are trying to render.

Also, if you can check the temp of the GPU, it would be interesting to see if its overheating in some way and throttling itself back

Have you noticed any hard drive activity? Could be that you've run out of memory and it's gone to the swap files. Things crawl when that happens.

Right now im trying a game, while im searching for virus, and the task manager says im at only 40% load, and ram at 4.5gb of 8gb

the temps of the gpu are 60º iddle and 75º load
