At least try to convince him and maybe even just quote a few of us which made a good point without calling your clients names, that he should at least take a different CPU, you might even just shove a few benchmarks down his throat so he will listen. he could still buy a black/red board with it (ASUS ROG boards, pricy but the right colour/color). He could still go 295X2 SLI if he wants really Insane power under the hood and want AMD GPU's. If this doesn't work well then there is no hope for this guy and I hope he will cry from the shitty performance. In no way any offense to you but if the guy doesn't wanna listen to someone who is trying to help him then the only way people like this learn is by getting smacked in the face with reality.

Yeah I have, the 4790k is a much better cpu and a ROG board would look great. Here is what I suggested but he hated.

Well, it's his build. Let him suffer for being stubborn with his fan boy syndrome. There nothing you can do if he's being stubborn about it.

You did your job by letting him know there is a better way to approach it. Ultimately, it's all about the client's decision and how they want it.
