Alright, before you say "Why not build one?" It's not for me... I already have one built, and I have my own laptop for school work, but just recently a friend brought up the subject of wanting a brand new PC. Unfortunately, they want portability over performance which means they need a laptop. I'm not that much of a PC genius, so building one is out of the question.

Aim: School documents, and mid-tier gaming...

Budget: It'd be nice if you could do 2, or choose one that is as cheap as possible... One $600 - 800 and one $900 - 1000.

Location: Canada (Don't worry about it though, use US sites if comfortable.)

Preferences: Don't mind the manufacturer... Just please don't be a troll and recommend Alienware or Razer...

Thanks for your time, cheers!  :D

Please don't build laptops, it's not nearly as good as prebuilt.
