Steam error

@spook811 very kindly gave me an Insurgency key yesterday, however steam is being a d**k about it. So, whenever i go to download a game via Humble Bundle i get an error with steam: 

Personally i have no  idea what's causing it as there's no further information in the message; i have retried multiple times...

What do you mean download it on Hunble Bundle? You redeem the gift on Humble Bundle and it get added to your Steam library

So, you need to claim the game on Humble Bundle? Are you correctly logged in to your Steam account on the Humble site?

Are you sure the game is not in your Steam library

Are you sure the game is not in your Steam library

 

Yes; when i sign in, it then ask me to allow it access to add it to my library. When click allow, it then returns to the Humble Bundle site and then displays that Steam had an error. 

The process in which it goes through to add it to my library is fine and everything works, up until the point of actually adding it to the library...

 

Click the button to redeem on Steam>To redeem, connect to Steam!>*Sign into steam*>Humble Bundle is requesting permission to access the following>Allow> Returning to Humble Bundle...> Then the error is displayed
