On my xperia z2, the misfortune events which caused it are posted here: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/264057-water-damaged-z2/#entry3591574 is (when plugged in either A/C or USB) flashes both the screen and red notification LED. I assume its a problem with the connection of power between the phone and wall, am I correct?

Happened to me with the Sony Xperia Z, the phone wont start and when plugging the USB charger the red LED turns on .. kept it for a while on the charger and after 15 minutes the phone turned on

Will try! Its charging now, I have discovered that rice takes forever, as there was still moisture in the camera.

Hey your back! Anyway it's probably because the screen is water damaged, the may work if you get the screen replaced :)

Did you try contacting Sony again?

I tried, no luck. I emailed them twice and neither were replied. I tried all other methods of contact and they failed. I think that the screen is intact, I identified water between the panel and the glass on both sides, and I suspect it to be gone now.
