Difference between different OHM headphones?

Go to solution Solved by aidenrelkoff,

How are they different sound signature wise?

not by much. oviously the 80 would sound better, but they need ALOT more power to drive them and just plugging them into your motherboard will make them sound worse then $25 on ears

get the 32OHM. If they had a 60OMH version i would get that.

As all models have the same sensitivity they should require the same amount of power to drive to the same volume. The reason that the lower impedance models get louder is because they will draw more power from a constant voltage (and most sources output the same voltage regardless of load). Overall the DT line is sensitive enough that even the 250 ohm can be driven comfortably by most onboard sound.

Ah, the Head-fi sockpuppet awakens.

not going to be mean, i hate the placebo-fi community....

but in all seriousness, i have the DT880 250 for 8 months now, safe to say i rather pick up the ATH-M50 Tek syndicate threw at the trash can, lick it up with my sticky tongue, and run it through an 80's super noisy receiver.

Jakartian sounds like a real term.

Or Jakarian.

Jakarianian is too long.

In our language, Jakarian actually sounds something like 'scrotumian', no shit.

Seeing how Narnia => Narnian, and Sparta => Spartan, perhaps the best would be Jakartan

*so unsignificant topic....
