How do I use these...

I'm trying to mount them onto 2 of my harddrive cages to blow air onto my graphics cards. I found some screws that fit nicely (from my old rad) that are long enough to go thru the fan and into the holes but since I want to blow air towards my GPU the fan side has to be against the cage, therefor the fan scrapes up against the cage since it's too close and it makes loud noise and can't spin well cause it's touching. Those holes are so small I'm having a really hard time fitting the plastic things through them. I can't even them them through it to pull through.

Yeah those rubber isolators aren't going to fit in those, they're meant for non-threaded screw holes, if you have some rubber spaces you can use them and the screws to give it a bit more room between the drive cage and fan, it'll also provide some extra vibration dampening.

This may be a stupid question but I can't seem to get these to work: http://www.gelidsolutions.com/images/products/large/DSC03378_600_400_.gif

Like I've tried wetting them and using a tool to pull them through.....

A pain in the ass to install and remove, you basically have to pull and stretch them through the fan holes, trying using a pair or pliers gently to persuade them

But once installed, they're really awesome.

I do notice that it's quieter than screws if you don't have fans with rubber grommets

Yeah they are the best, my case would resonate/hum slightly when I screwed fans in directly, a couple of those fixes it right up.

Omg so now I got them into the fan but they won't fit into the holes on my case because they are much smaller than the fan holes........this is ridiculous lol.

Any ideas how I could get them into a smaller hole? I tried pushing them down with screws but the hole is a good deal smaller than the rubber piece.

Are the holes in your case regular sizes fan holes for the screws that makes their own thread or smaller sized ones that need a nut and a bolt.

Yup, I thought of that, unfortunately I don't have too many handy. Thanks for the help though. I have a few Noctuas sitting around here I'm still debating if I want to poison my new case's looks with them or buy some different fans lol.
