Speaker Problems?

So I have these 2 speakers, 1 side is starting to sound funny

this problem started months ago, so i left them in the basment,

now i pulled them out and they both sounded perfect for about the first 5 minutes

then the right one started making theses sounds agian

First is right speaker

then in the middle of the video i got to left ( so you know the songisn't the problem)

and at the end you can here the sound.

any fix? is it blown? can i fix it?

edit

also it only happens an the phono input not the radio input,

i would say it the amp, but even switching channels 1 speaker is like this, but the other is normal regardless of input

First speaker bad

second correct sound

If the sound is there even when something is not playing then the amp or the transformer is about to die

Beware of him that is slow to anger; for when it is long coming, it is the stronger when it comes, and the longer kept. Abused patience turns to fury.

does the song have any low frequency bass at the end?Does the sound manifest when you play songs with low frequency bass?If so either the speaker is damaged and the spider is broken or the air coming out make a funny noise

Maybe not die yes but is on it's path.

It could be anything. From sound card, cable(from pc to amp), preamp in amp, amp itself, speaker itself. Saying its transformer is really random at this moment and op should give us more details as what happens when he uses other components.

forgot to say but there is big chance that buttons/pots on amp are causing the problem.

@Arty I'm almost sure that it's a loose whizzer cone. Thought that at first, then the muffled high frequencies confirmed it.

do you think their is any solution other than replacing the driver completly?

what i still dont understand though, it just worked fine for about 30 minutes then it happned,

i switch to radio input it works normal

but on the phono switch doesn't mater what channel i use its muffled,

but radio sounds near perfect...??

the other speaker is fine regardless of anything.

what is volume pot?

my amp/reciver:

-pic-

I meant volume potentiometer (thing you change volume with)

Try disabling loudness.

Try moving balance left/right but in the end put it back on middle.

If you notice that sound from speaker comes back and disappears again than you need to open it and spray those buttons/potentiometers with contact spray.

I have to go now. Will come back tomorrow :P

alr,

the loudness switch did not difference, thier is an eq switch on the back 2, that did nothing ethier, everything was smooth, the only effect was switching from phono-to radio, which radio made the problem go away, the switching back to phono still had the speaker working normal for about 5- 6 minutes then the issius came back

Open receiver and spray over that multibutton (whatever you call it in english, one that lets you choose source) with contact spray.
