I recently bought a Radeon r9 280x off of ebay.  In the description it says that it was used in a mac pro and is flashed for mac.  Could someone please tell me what this means and if it will still work on windows.  Do I need to unflash it in the BIOS or something like that?  Thanks.

This means the original user flashed a Mac-compatible BIOS onto the card. You will need to use a different device for display output to get into your OS and reflash a stock BIOS to it in order for it to work. Not too hard.

It means it will work for Macs, since OS X doesn't really support AMD GPUs. This relates to Hackintosh PCs.

can't think that you'll need to do anything, though it's not that hard if you do. Flashing the bios shouldn't affect its windows compatibility. There are cases where it does though and I've been off of AMD GPUs for quite some time now.
