You really think it will be worth allot?

It is opened but never used.

Do you think my iMac g4 will be worth allot as well?

I have no clue what your iMac will pull a few decades down the line, but if you compare it to the retro-market of the Commodores (80s and early 90s) you see a lot of used and worn out stuff, even broken items, getting sold on eBay .. Sometimes a well preserved condition sample comes along (like this one), and very rarely you see an unopened, pristine and mint item being put to sale for thousands of dollars. The rule being that the closer you can get to the original purchasing experience, the more people will tend to get nostalgic about it (spend money on it).

Then again, .. keeping stuff around for decades is not easy. You have girlfriends that toss your stuff without asking .. kids that gets into stuff (again without asking) and the biggest threat to such a project (outside of mother nature) is of course yourself.

Edit: If you keep old hardware around, make bloody sure that any barrel-style batteries are removed before you put it into deep storage. Most modern hardware (that have batteries on them) use the coin-style ones but Amigas and stuff of yesterday tend to have the acid based ones that will leak and will destroy whatever PCB they're mounted on over time.

Hmm. I'll try to keep the keyboard as long as possible. It is basically new open box.

My iMac g4 is pristene, but no box or anything. I'll have to see what battery that has in it

Don't shoot me if, 30 years from now, you get nothing for it  :P

Also, .. consider picking up the converter plug (if you can find it cheap) .. No guarantee that it will exist or be available once you find a buyer for the keyboard.

Right. They are like 20$ to USB. 30 years from now I might also need a USB to whatever adapter as well.

Interesting... Uses o ring type thing. It is one big rubber sheet spanning whole keyboard. I would have to take off all keys to remove it, if possible

Feels like MX browns, but better, and quieter than reds bottoming out
