Project Miniaturization

Welcome all to my first build log here on the forums.  It's been a long time coming I suppose.  I currently have a full sized rig in a Corsair 650D, but I am about to be in a house with 4 other people and cant really afford the extra table that I have to put it on.  I decided that I will be downsizing and upgrading at the same time.  Though I might be posting another build log that I am doing for a friend at a later time.

Since the goal was to take my current build smaller, I decided that finding a good case would be the hardest part for me.  While I was looking for cases I stumbled upon the NCASE M1 and loved it, until I found out that they were limited production runs.  After checking on the NCase facebook I saw that they would be doing another run starting in November and would be shipping them in December.  It fell in line with everything else perfectly.

Here is the parts list:

The Macbook is my programming workhorse for now.  I'll be out of my desktop for about a month because the parts in it are going to my friends build.

Went and picked up a new mouse today.  I basically got it for 10$ because of a mess up with my order/marking down the price of the G502 after I ordered it.

It's replacing my good old Razer Naga Molten that has served me well over the years.

But but, what are your keybinds now?

The G502 has enough buttons for me to have about half of the keybinds of the Naga, but I only need 4 for my actual work :)

Here's some pics of parts and upgrades :)

GTX 970 ITX vs R9 280.  The 970 is much more powerful.  Just smashes this thing.

8GB of 1866 G.Skill Ripjax X series RAM, may have to upgrade this to a 16GB kit because I'm a tab fiend.

Hard drives, unsure about putting in the  Corsair or the HDD.  I'm considering getting a 4TB SSHD from barracuda to mount in the floor of the case while putting an 850 Pro in the front with the EVO.

I've got 3 Gentle Typhoons ready to go into the little bad boy.

Thickness difference between my old unibody Macbook and the new Macbook Pro.  The weight difference between the 2 is almost as ridiculous as the power difference.IMAG0223_zps243835d5.jpg

My Amiibo now has a place to sit, ontop on the old dead ODD  :P
