hello folks

 

i have a gigabyte z97 gaming3 (full specs see below)

 

when i open the gigabyte system monitor app it say for example my CPU is at 35 degrees(celcius)

when i open realtem gt  the coolest core is like 40 degrees and the hottest is 45 degrees at the same moment

 

is this some kind of a driver isue or is it just crappy software

 

ps. also in HW monitor the temps are the same a realtemp

I think the Gigabyte software lowballs a bit, since I have taken the stock cooler off my G3258 and then put it back on without replacing the thermal paste, and it says that I idle around 24-26C, with a 21C ambient.

Realtemp and HW monitor are the right ones, happens also with my Maximus VI hero... I think that it's the temp of the socket, not the cores' one...
