I've been looking for another evga 780 6gb but the only one I can find is on Amazon and its 975.00 usd. Does anyone know where to find one that's not overpriced?

I can't hyperlink the link because I'm on mobile but this is the only I can find.

It seems that the 6gb 780s are being phased out.  I couldn't even find one on eBay.

All that comes up are the 3gb models and you could SLI with one of those, but then three of the six gb of vram would be going to waste.

I have no idea how long it will be before nvidia launches/if they launch an 8gb 980.

You can still run SLI with a 780 with 3gb of vram with your 6gb 780, you would just have to stick to using 3gb instead of 6gb.

If I were you I would sell that 6gb 780 on eBay and get a 980/970.  Preferably the 970 since it performs so close to the 980 and costs a lot less.

Why is this type of GPUs ultra expensive at this time? Is there any people really paying 1K for those?

I'm having this same problem with a reference 780 Ti.  I plan on contacting some manufacturers to see if they have any in back-stock that they'd be willing to sell me.  Although, that's my desperation attempt.
