A much needed experiment/upgrade I made several months ago:

Current PC:

• Node 304 case
  
• Asrock z77e-itx motherboard
  
• Intel 3770k processor (stock) (tried ramping it up to 4.5ghz and temps were still good but eh)
  
• H80 cooler
  
• 8gb 1600mhz ddr3 ram
  
• GTX 460 (has two broken fan fins :()
  
• OCZ 700w gamexstream

  Since this was merely an experiment to build an ITX machine, I'm going to repurpose the parts into new systems. I'm still thinking all of this out since budget is tight so nothing is really set in stone.
  

PC#1:

• Old Antec 900 case
  
• Asrock z77e-itx motherboard (temporary?)
  
• Intel 3770k processor
  
• H80 cooler (temporary?)
  
• 8gb 1600mhz ddr3 ram (temporary. will get 16gb with new mobo)
  
• ATI 7870
  
• TX650 (maybe?)

Notes:

-stripped the fans from the 900

-thinking about having just one intake on the side and having the H80 as the exhaus

-need to find dust filter for intake. Thinking of using the filterright or the inwin magnetic filter.

-debating whether to even use the 900 or not. Would prefer a more sleek case such as the R4.

-thinking of either leaving the top exhaust running or just covering it up. Will depend on noise.
