I suppose this is the correct place to post this. Anyways.

Me and my friend were looking for PC components, when we found some incredibly cheap SSD disks. 256 GB SSD with 550 Read/Write for $17, and we also found a 3 TB HDD for also $17. Because we are not so smart, we ordered 4 of the SSD's and 1 of the HDD's. So we ordered them amongst other items, and the order got sent and confirmed. Now a half hour later the website we got them on seems to have removed the entire SSD and HDD category. We assume the prices we got were a mistake. Havent heard anything yet, but do you guys think the order might go through, or will they  just cancel the order?

Technically they should deliver you the item, as it is advertised to be in stock and has been price. If they cancel, threaten to sue or force your money back. Do the money back THEN sue

Depends where you live. In the UK, lots of things like this have happened and its mostly gone three ways; they will honour the price; they won't honour the price but will offer compensation; they will just cancel the order.

90% they cancel the order and hide behind some rubbish reason, I wouldn't hold out hope if I were you.

Assuming it isn't a scam...

This is a very reputable website and one of the biggest of this country. So i wouldnt worry about being scammed. Cant cancel the order, it is ordered and confirmed ordered as i said. We have 2 emails with the full item list, even printed it out. So we have "evidence". I suppose they could cover themselves for "typos" or stuff like that, in which case they might cancel the order. I dont know.

I will keep you updated when i know something :)

In my country we have a consumer protection act, which means in this case they would've had to supply you with the goods at the price or they would be breaking the law.

If it sounds too good to be true....

That is what my friend and i thought too when we got it, actually. But as i said above, this is a trustable website which is one of the biggest here. My bet is on that they made a mistake when setting prices, and took down the entire category of HDD and SDD to sort it out. There were more items for such low prices. About what happens to our order, well, i guess we will find out. But if it is possible, i will definitly try to get it, of course :P
