Atx mobos are usually 12 x 9.6 right? On amazon(http://www.amazon.com/ASRock-Z97M-ANNIVERSARY-MicroATX-Motherboard/dp/B00LJ37WJE) it says the mobo is 4.7 x 13.8 x 10.6 inches is that right ? Or is it a measurement of the box? If it is the real measurement, will it fit in a normal atx case?

That is what you call a thin atx (smaller than atx in width). I call it the f*cked up atx (size).....because i really prefer FULL atx or micro atx (or e atx) and it is long and short in width, looks very weird as well.

Ok, but it will still be a hassle to install a PSU in a small-mid sized atx case (especially a cheap one).

It will fit though and if you like the mobo (i don't suggest asrock btw...had a CHEAP one fail on me, expensive ones are good though) then go ahead and build the system.

It has an official name, mini-ATX. (FlexATX is sometimes used but not correctly)

Will it fit in a corsair 230t?or is that too small? that was my Goal From the start. I'm pretty lazy so I chose this mobo for ez oc. $100 is pretty expensive right? I don't want it failing on me

Yes, it will fit into a 230T. You won't be getting good overclocks on this mobo though.

A good mobo for 100$ would be: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-fatal1tyz97killer

I personally consider anything below $150 low-end. And usually spend $200-$250, depending on the features I need on that specific board.

Motherboard and PSU are the two things I never cheap out on.
