I've just gone from using a 5.1 creative system off a single 3.5mm port on a laptop and now that I actually have my rig watching movies and playing games with the surround is just amazing. I've never had surround sound before (at least that wasn't 7.1 virtual headphones). I'm just wanting to fill up all those audio ports on the back - so I'm looking for a recommendation of a good all-round 7.1 system.

 

I'm pretty much ready to splurge on the following that I'm looking for recommendations for:

- 7.1 (or better) audio system

- DAC (preferably with audio in as it'll replace my front I/O)

- Audiophile grade open headphones

- Closed gaming headset (for da bass)

 

Also, how would you rate the Logitech c920 webcam microphones? Good enough for this setup (as it's mainly consumption - not production)?

 

I don't have an unlimited budget for all of this - so I'm looking for solid equipment without being ridiculous.
