R9 270 for sure. It's what Tom's Hardware recommends for their budget build with a 450W PSU in their last system builder marathon article. Tons of R9 270's below $150 after rebate here, and even some below that before rebate:

Great cards too:

Too expensive looking more around $100. Between r7 260X and gtx 260x which is better for your money.

750 if you can.

250x (about 100$ base before combos or mail in rebates)

The hands down best budget GPUs at the moment are used GTX 470 / 480 / 560 Ti / 570 off eBay, which will cost you around $50.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

R9 270 is what PC gamer/mag (can't remember which) recommends but if you don't have the money for that I'd go for a R7 260X

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!

Why would you ever take a GTX 750 Ti over an R9 270 when both are the same price after rebate? I could understand if that MSI GTX 750 Ti was $100 straight up, but it's not. It's $130 with a $30 rebate from newegg. You can get the same price on a PowerCooler R9 270 from newegg. Or you can get the HIS R9 270 from newegg for $140 with a $40 rebate.

What is your power supply? Because if it can put out its rated power, the R9 270 is a far superior option. If not, then the GTX 750Ti would make some sense.

I mean the GTX 750 Ti is one of the most impressive feats of engineering I have ever seen, getting the results it does on 60W of power through the PCIE slot. But as a gamer I'll take the card that gives me a better gameplay experience, and that's the R9 270 by a mile.
