Internet problems

I'm running on the computer listed in my info, wifi is connected and working on all devices except this computer. In the sharing center it says that there's Internet, but when I try to browse on chrome and IE nothing loads. How can I fix this problem? I am running windows 8.

Sounds like problem related to DNS, are you able to ping IPs? Try 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4, they are Google's DNS servers.

If you open command prompt or powershell you can write "ping 8.8.8.8" to see if you get answer. If yes, then try google.com. If it cannot resolve the name there is an error with your name server.

When in command prompt you can also try typing "ipconfig /all" to see if you have DNS given to you by your DHCP.

okay I did the ping and received stuff in cmd. When I try to load google it still doesn't load. What now?

How is this going?

 

You could change your DNS in the IPv4 settings to static use 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 to see if things fires up. It is strange that your router does not forward your info though.

Go to your adapter settings and properties for IPv4, set DNS manually.
