Okay so i recently posted about this problem and i thought it was my GPU causing the tearing but i just took it out of my system and connected one of my monitors to my MOBO. But its still doing it. Is it my monitors going bad? Ive had them for maybe 7 months now so i hope they arent. I have Vsync completely turned off.

Will happen in all games without vsync.

Some more noticeable than others.

Can even be seen in videos played.

That's usually an issue elsewhere tho.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

well it is your gpu causing the problem, if you turn on v sync you'll get rid off the tearing

So i think i found out what was happening. It was actually my card, and i think i know why vsync wasnt working. I could be very wrong and i dont if this is even possible. But ive been ready that A LOT of people have been have frame rate issues with their cards in games; getting lower fps than they really should be, so my only guess is for whatever reason my card just cant keep up with my 60hz monitor which is hard to believe but here's my reasoning. I just went and bought a 144hz monitor and all the tearing went away 100%, But if i turn the refresh rate down to even 120hz it starts tearing. This is a brand new Asus VG248QE so i doubt its the monitor.

that's very strange!  As long as I have v-sync turned on,  there isn't even the slightest tearing on sight with my gtx 670SC 4GB.  Too bad adaptive sync doesn't work for me,  I always get tearing with it.

It is, im baffled. but as long as i keep it at 144hz its fine. Im using a single 970 strix atm. I'm RMAing it though because coil whine is a deal breaker for me.
