HTC One heat issues

I've noticed that my HTC one gets VERY hot when on mobile network, even when sitting idle in my pocket. Us anyone else experiencimg this, or should I contact HTC for a warranty rma

It's a known issue, HTC one does get a bit warm

thats just a con of a metal phone

It's normal unless it's blistering hot then I think you need to check with HTC.

But if it's just warm then think if it as "..your phone is working really hard to load the internets" =p

I'll see if there's a way I can record the temp, and it gets that hot when doing nothing

Try turning off GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi respectively if you're not using them and try enabling the CPU option in power saver and see if that helps.

Once I got the feeling that mine was hot in the pocket without me doing anything. I think it was doing some update in the background.

 

Turn off radios (mobile data/wifi/bluetooth/nfc) one at a time and observe like CwGoh has suggested.
