Question about displayport!

Go to solution Solved by 79wjd,

All DP cables are the same, the difference is in the controller of the ports on each end (monitor and gpu).

So, I'm planning on getting the LG 34UM95-P, and Linus mentioned in the video that HDMI would be limited to 50Hz, so I would have to go displayport to get the full 60Hz.

My question is should I get the latest displayport 1.3 to future proof? Are all displayports interchangeable? Does my graphics card and monitor have to support the latest displayport 1.3?

Thanks in advance for any replies!

I see! Didn't know that! Great, I can just buy any cheap displayport cable then! Thanks!
