I saw some people using 3Dmark so I tried it out. It says my score was 9938 and better than 93% of results but the video was pretty shit during the benchmark and even down to 20fps lol. Is this normal for this benchmark? I have a GTX970.

ALSO, I have another question...under the specs it says each ram module is 667hhz and it's supposed to be at 1600...

Depends, if it's 3dmark advanced, and you did it on performance, i'd say it's pretty bad, if it's firestrike, depends. You should check out anandtech or places where a lot of benchmarking is done to see what settings they use, you might be doing it wrong by setting something and demanding too much from your hardware, resulting on a bad benchmarking result.

your RAM is running at 1333. actual ram clock is half of effective.

I don't know much about ram specs sorry, here's what it shows me:

If you talking about 3DMark Fire Strike, then 9938 is a pretty average score for a 970. Basically a bone stock 970. They usually score around 10,000 give or take a couple hundred points. Seems normal.

As far as memory goes, 3DMark is notorious for reporting the base speed of the memory (which is usually 1333MHz). As long as CPU-Z reports your memory at 1600MHz (800MHz) then there's nothing to worry about.

If you want no mistakes in finding out, you can check HWiNFO64. Install it and run it and tick "summary only". You'll get a page looking like the picture below, with your RAM's current speeds and timings in the bottom right (in case you don't trust CPU-Z or something). It's also a VERY useful tool for monitoring info about your system in sensor mode.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

THE INFORMATION GUIDES: SLI INFORMATION || vRAM INFORMATION || MOBILE i7 CPU INFORMATION || Maybe more someday
