Overclocking my cpu

hey Linus community I am building a new pc with a 5820k

1. I would like to overclock them but I don't know how ( can someone please tell me or link a video )

2. How can I prevent the life span decreasing

3. How much faster will my pc run or what will be improved

1.the bios

2.get an aftermarket cooler

3.depends if you get a good chip

4.Put all your overclocking questions in one thread next time

Keep in mind overclocking is all luck of the draw. Some people I've seen can run their 4770ks at 4.8GHz, where-as me, I can't get mine past 4.2

Inform yourself, thats the best way to learn

2. How can I prevent the life span decreasing

Don´t overclock/lower Vcore
3. How much faster will my pc run or what will be improved

Maybe... in gta 4? about hmm 4-max 10fps?
