Hi, I am thinking of making a new Build since mine is about 6 years old and it can't run anything modern. Damn it cant even run Windows 8 as fast as Windows XP (still with it). I want your oppinions and sugestions for other components if you see fit or as a better option.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K - $210

MOBO: Asus Z97-A - $125

RAM: Kingston HyperX Savage (2x4GB) 1600MHz - $80

GPU: GF GTX 970 Strix/G1 Gaming - $410

PSU: Corsair RM650 - $105

STORAGE: 1TB WD Blue - $60

CASE: Cooler Master N500 $60

CPU COOLER: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo - $30

PS: In my country this build costs about $1500 and I make around $280 per month, so I am geting everything except the Video Card and for 2 months I will be playing less demanding games till I can afford the GTX 970. The Build is going to be from me to me for Christmas.

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600, MOBO: MSI Tomahawk B450, RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB 3000 (2x8 GB), GPU: MSI RTX 2080 Gaming-X Trio, CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U12S, PSU: Corsair RM 650, HDD: WD Blue 1TB, SSD: Samsung 860 ECO 500GB, CASE: Fractal Design Meshify C

Looks good, although there are some things you could improve (like getting a cheaper PSU)

So, here is my recommendation:

Motherboard: Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($124.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB ACX 2.0 Video Card  ($319.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $895.90

Notes:
  • You could get a SSD for just 50-60$ (120GB) and just put your OS and maybe a game or two
  • I chose the Fractal Design Define R4 because it's really pretty ( :P) and silent

Any question just ask!

dude what
