Firefox Speed Issues

Go to solution Solved by ologiic,

The issue there is that you thought 16gb of ram would help you browse the internet. I suggest you load one page at a time/clear your cache.

I am not stupid. I am aware that because i have satellite internet that has a pretty low bit-rate, webpages are going to load pretty slowly. I get that. The issue i am having is that when my computer is working on loading a few webpages at a time, Mozilla itself slows. As in, it can take up to 4 seconds to change tabs. Even scrolling down a webpage that shows it is no longer being loaded has a VERY noticeable input lag. But i don't quite understand. I built this PC myself and i stuck 16GB of RAM in it so this issue wouldn't occur. How do i fix this?

Two mistakes. You assume building a PC yourself would allow you to avoid the issue. You also assume having more RAM would also allow you to avoid the issue. The reality of it is, 16GB is overkill for just about everything average done on a PC.
