I recently upgraded my motherboard from a $50 AMD to a intel. I get around 80 fps to a rare 300 spike, when I see many people that have the same cpu and they get 200 - 300. My specs are:

Motherboard - Asus Z97M-plus

CPU - intel i7 4770

GPU - AMD radeon 7850 HD

Hardrive - 1TB

Ram - 16gb 1333 MHz

I am thinking I bottle-necked my PC with the GPU, but please confirm if I did or didn't. Thanks ;)

For the record, you're not telling us what games they're playing vs what you're playing. In addition, you're not telling us your resolution, graphical fidelity settings, or the others' settings. It's highly vague.

there are many variables that can effect this, eg settings, the actual game, screen or screens' resolution, overclocks, hdd speed(for some games) and background applications and even intrusions or infections within the system.

Give us more details and then we might be able to help you, also consider that your gpu isnt very powerful.

What are the others settings? Is their CPU overclocked? In fact, is ANYTHING overclocked on the other systems?

Everything is on the lowest settings, and everything is stock speed. I'm just wondering if I bottle-necked my GPU, or something likse that. Cause I heard that, thats an option.

The lower your graphical settings, the more the CPU is going to be a bottleneck. Like I said, you're not giving us much information about the other systems. Like, what graphics card(s) are they running? Is their CPU overclocked? You may not know, and this would be why the topic is pointless in my view.

I don't know what version but I have the Catalyst Control center straight off the website.

Well that should be OK then.

What graphics cards are used in the other systems you mentioned? 7850 is not the best GPU in the world and 80FPS sounds about right.
