Steam is DRM. Gog gives you a completely standard installer file that you can download as many times as you want and backup on your drive with no DRM involved in any stage of the process.

I like GOG more, but I use both. Generally if a game is on both gog and steam I choose gog any day of the week.

EDIT: Also, GOG is owned by CD Projekt Red so if you like that developer (developer of Witcher) and their no-DRM policy, you should buy it on GOG so they get to keep more of the profit. Buying stuff on GOG also sends a very important message about DRM.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

but the steam version would only cost me 10bucks for both games while the gog version would be 30:( oh well I'll wait for it to be on sale on gog.

Well in that case I would go with Steam. It wasn't long ago that The Witcher 2 was on sale on GOG, so...

GOG's selling point is completely DRM free games. Also they have oodles of old games that have patched to run on modern OSs. From their catalog I can get games I can play on my crappy laptop.
