I bought 8 gigs of Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR3-2400 RAM.  I installed it, and booted to the bios, where I clicked a button, and it set to XMP 1.  Everything looked great.  When I went into the task manager (using Windows 10 btw), where it tells you the clock speeds of your CPU and RAM, it says 1600 MHz, but in the bios it is still set to XMP.

Is this just Windows?  Is there another program I can use that monitors RAM clock speeds?

Make sure you set it to the correct XMP profile--there are probably several different ones.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I did, there's only one that's 2400.  Thing is, before I did, the memory speed in Task Manager was 1333...

What are the other XMP profiles available?

Well, there's automatic, default, XMP 1 (which is  supposed to be 2400), and XMP 2, which is 2133.

When I just went to check, though, the memory speed was set to 2132 MHz, for some reason.  I tried changing the profiles, but it wouldn't budge.  I eventually loaded the default settings, and from there I was able to select 2400.  Maybe it's a problem with my motherboard?

Try automatic. Others setting may require manually inputting the oc settings.
